Interact Intranet: Install day

Just a few short months after winning the Interact Intranet charity giveaway contest our installation got underway this morning.  It took just over an hour for the production servers to get installed to version 5.07 and for life to appear.  A short while later the Teams and Forms modules were installed, patches were applied and our AD repository was synchronized to allow authentication.

Now that our environment is installed I'm eager to begin learning what it'll take to migrate thousands of files from our Plumtree environment!

Because of an issue with our DMZ server we only managed to get the Prod and Dev environments setup.  Once they were ready I quickly got to work implementing the horizontal navigation we are considering and replacing the header style.  I must admit I had no idea what I was doing but within 15 minutes it becomes quite apparent what is needed to change out the header - copy an existing style, add your desired background image and manipulate some CSS entries to line everything up (search, navigation, alerts, logout).

This isn't our official style, just something I'm rooting for!
